As a senior partner with the law firm of Franklin & Prokopik, Andrew T. Stephenson is a seasoned civil litigator, with a primary focus on defending commercial transportation companies against civil suits involving catastrophic losses. Mr. Stephenson also defends corporations and individuals in civil matters involving premises liability, products liability and intentional torts. He is currently a member in good standing of the New York and Maryland State Bar Associations and serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Baltimore Law School.
Mr. Stephenson is a member of the board of directors for the Trucking Industry Defense Association; a member of the National Restaurant and Retail Defense Association; a fellow of the American Bar Foundation; the former Chair of the ABA’s Commercial Transportation Litigation Committee; the Co-Chair of the ABA’s Transportation Megaconference. He also routinely attends and participates in the Arkansas Trucking Seminar, Defense Research Institute Trucking Seminar and he is an active member of USLAW. Mr. Stephenson serves as General Counsel to the Maryland Motor Truck Association; the Maryland Movers’ Council; the Maryland Motor Coach Association and the Towing and Recovery Professionals of Maryland.
