Charles M. Farmer is vice president for research and statistical services at the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, where he has been employed since 1994.
Dr. Farmer has authored studies on many aspects of traffic safety, including the effects of enhanced vehicle technology, regulation and refinement of driver behavior, and roadway design.
Dr. Farmer received a master’s degree from Old Dominion University and a doctorate from Iowa State University.
