Craig is a former security consultant and U.S. Intelligence Officer with 14 years of professional experience in cybersecurity consulting and professional services.
Prior to joining Aon Benfield, Craig was the Director of Security Solutions for a enterprise security consultancy specializing in cybersecurity, to include security and risk assessments, penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and intellectual property protection. Craig led all partnership engagements with the Lloyd’s of London insurance markets, providing and communicating the results of pre- and post-binding cybersecurity assessments of U.S.-based utilities, retail, and other Fortune 500 firms. During his tenure, Craig also led all engagements with strategic partners, such as HP Enterprise and Tenable Network Security.
For over 10 years, Craig served as a U.S. Intelligence Officer with four tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, and tours in Europe and Africa collecting and communicating strategic intelligence to US policymakers in matters of cybersecurity, regional stability, and counterterrorism,. Craig was selected to brief the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI), and other senior policymakers on multiple occasions.
Craig joined Aon Benfield in 2016 as an associate director with full time focus on the Cyber Practice Group to leverage his experience and provide exemplary cybersecurity products and services to Aon Benfield’s clients. He graduated from the Virginia Military Institute in 2003 with a B.A. in International Relations and Carey Business School, Johns Hopkins University with a MBA – Finance. Craig completed additional coursework in cybersecurity, networking, and related fields. Craig is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
